A registered agent is a third-party registered in the same state in which the corporation was established and is designated to accept legal documents and notifications from the Secretary on behalf of a corporate entity. All corporations and Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) must choose a person or entity to act as their registered agent.

Why do I need a Florida Registered Agent?

Because it’s required by law if your business is a corporation or LLC. A business that doesn’t have a designated RA may run the risk of falling out of good standing with the state of Florida. Penalties can include license revocation, fines and the inability to enter into legal contracts and/or gain access to the state court system.
